About Me

I’m so happy you stopped in at my site about coffee. My name is Anna.

My love for coffee started as a child … just the smell of it would send me to another world. I couldn’t drink it, of course, but I would say, “Let me smell, let me smell” and my mom would hold the coffee up to my face and I would breathe deeply thoroughly enjoying the scintillating aroma.

Then, one day my grandmother said, “Do you really want to taste my coffee?” My heart stopped. I took a deep breath, the excitement almost choking me as I quickly nodded my head “yes!”

She got up and poured a little coffee in a cup, cooled it down and handed it to me. I held on to that coffee cup and fell in love with my grandmother all over again. I was going to drink coffee. Just like an adult. The anticipation was the best part of it all. I was breathless.

I put the cup to my lip and blew on it, just like I’d seen my dad do so many times, savoring the moment. Then I finally turned the hot, black liquid up to my lips and took my first sip.

I almost gagged … it was awful! I held the cup out to my grandmother and said, “I think I’ll wait until I grow up.”

She took the cup from me and patted my cheek. “One day you will love that taste,” she promised me.

And, boy do I! Coffee is my favorite beverage … and that’s why I started this website. I love coffee!
